Current state (15.0)

• T-2 version support (eg: if current version = 15.0, than T-1 version = 14.0; T-2 version = 13.0)

• New major Odoo versions are usually released at the begining of October each year as part of the yearly Odoo Experience event

• After release expect around:

  • 2-3 months for Odoo S.A. to prepare upgrade path for Odoo Enterprise (they are getting quicker every year)

  • 6-9 months for OCA’s openupgrade (although some apps are never finished…)

• Much easier than used to be, but not as simple as one click

• It is not like upgrading your Windows, needs professional assistance

• Can be time consuming with many customizations
